Airbnb Plus & Luxe
What is Airbnb Plus vs. Airbnb Luxe?
Airbnb Plus is an invite-only programme made up of top superhosts (link to internal) and places. In order to remain in the Airbnb Plus programme, you must retain your superhost status by maintaining 4.8+ average overall rating and 0 cancellations. In addition, your property must have a unique and well-designed style, provide exceptional amenities such as wifi or coffee, and be extra well-maintained in cleanliness. Your eligibility is reviewed by the Airbnb team and they will invite qualifying listings to join the programme. Once the invitation is accepted, the Airbnb team will send out personnel to do in-person quality inspection and take professional photographs of the property. If all goes well, then your listing will be given the “Plus” badge. The hosts have the option to leave the programme at any time.
Airbnb Luxe, on the other hand, is even more of an elite programme for the most extraordinary homes handpicked by the Airbnb team. More than 2,000 homes have been carefully selected from around the world. It’s normally for a large home or villa for affluent travellers willing to spend at least $1000 per night and hosts who apply must pass Airbnb Luxe’s 300 point inspection. One of the key requirements is that this property is not shared with anyone else including the host. The guests should be entitled to total privacy. The property must be stocked with highest quality amenities including chef-quality kitchen supplies. The properties will often have full staff for housekeeping, transportation, chefs, etc. Due to the level of required attentiveness, many of these properties are managed by professional property managers (link to internal).
